With Love

I’m no big fan of soft pastel colors. Still I managed to make such a card. 🙂 I was inspired by Tuesday Throwdown’s challenge #329, Heart Strings (I used ribbon and wooden hearts), and The Card Concept #66, Love and Romance (clean and layered concept). And, Sketch Saturday’s sketch #450:

A lilac Christmas

Two of the challenges I made this card for, have the themes Girly and Cute. Those who know me, know that I don’t do girly. Or cute. Ever. So yes, it was quite a challenge for me, and this is the girliest and cutest I managed to make. Both the girl image and the God Jul (Merry Christmas) stamp are from Slöjd-Detaljer.

I submit my card to the following challenges:

It’s Christmas time

Christmas might have been just a couple of weeks ago, but I’ll prepare for next Christmas season by making Christmas cards all year. For this card, I’ve used a snowman image from Slöjd-Detaljer, and a “Merry Christmas & Happy New Year” (in Swedish) clear stamp from a set I designed for Skapa Hobby (no longer available).

I submit my card to the following challenges:

Odd colors for Christmas

It was really fun to make this card, with its totally untraditional Christmas colors. I actually made it for a person whose favorite colors are purple, lime green, blue and turquoise. As always, I’m participating in a few challenges. Well, this time more than just a few.

Christmas bird

I plan for a total cardmaking weekend, and here’s the first card. A Christmas card with papers (bird and background papers) from Stamperia. It’s an Italian craft supplier, making THE most beasutiful papers, and other things as well. The God Jul stamp I used are from an old clear stamp set I designed for Skapa Hobby, no longer available.

As always, I’ve used a few challenges as inspiration:

A pastel blue Christmas

Blue Christm… No, wait. My card says “Warm Winter Greetings”, not Christmas. Oh well, it’s blue anyway. A soft light blue, made for CAS on Sundays challenge #91 – pastel. And for Sketch Saturday’s sketch #429.

The snowflake paper is from Creative Club, years back, and the stamp is my design for Skapa Hobby.

Loads of challenges

Second card for today is made for five different challenges, four of them from blogs I discovered just today:

  1. Card Mania challenge #82 – Lace and/or Pearls. I squeezed in both. I have loads of lace that I hardly ever use, I guess I should try to use it more often in my projects.
  2. Cards und More challenge #163 – Embossing. Sentiment is embossed with black embossing powder. And embossing is something I should do more often as well. I’ve become “lazy” and always stamp without embossing.
  3. Tuesday Throwdown #304 – Happy Birthday.
  4. Simon Says – Anything Goes.
  5. Sketch Saturday’s sketch #422.

Winter is here

Now when snow and proper winter has finally come here in Sweden, what is more suitable than to make and send a card saying “White Winter Greetings”? I made it for three different challenges. And I hope it qualifies for the Christmas card challenges…

  • Merry Monday #186: White on White. We’re allowed to use neutrals so I added some silver.
  • Jingle Belles: Something Old and Something New. Brand new is the glittery paper. Old is the vellum with white flourishes (I’ve had it for years but never used it) and the snowflake outline stickers.
  • Sketch Saturday #394

New year, new card

I’m back from the holidays, and I’m ready for cardmaking again. 😀 Here’s the first card of the year, and as usual I use blog challenges for inspiration. This card is for Allsorts challenge 342/343 – Anything but Christmas and Sketch Saturday #392.

Skulls and candy canes

Today’s second Christmas card is a bit different. No nice Santa, no cute reindeer, no shiny tree… Just a bunch of skulls with candy canes. 😉 Searching through my Christmas stash, I found out that this paper was the only thing I had with candy canes. And of course I needed candy canes for the Candy Kisses challenge at Jingle Belles. This card is also for sketch #387 at Sketch Saturday.
