It’s Christmas again!

As you might know, I had planned on making Christmas all year round so I don’t need to stress with them by the end of the year. I’m not doing too good with that – it’s already a couple of months since my last Christmas card.

Today’s card is navy and white, with a white silhouette tree, and a background of dotted cardstock. I’ve used Mojo Monday’s sketch #496 for the layout of the card.

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

From Easter to Christmas

Making a card for IN{K}SPIRE_me’s challenge #293 – mint, brown and white – I immediately knew I wanted to use papers from one of Stamperia’s Christmas paper sets. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I have to say once again that Stamperia is one of my fave paper designers. The circle with snowflakes is a stamp from Creative Epressions, which I embossed with chocolate brown embossinpowder, and then cut out the image around the edges of the stamped circle.

I used the sketch from The Crafter’s Cafe challenge #169 for the layout of my card.

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

It’s always time for Christmas cards, right? Here’s one in blue and white with snowflakes. The background is a vellum with glittery snowflakes print. In the corners I’ve added snowflake stickers from a monthly club kit I subscribed to years ago. God Jul, Swedish for Merry Christmas, is a clear stamp from Slöjd-Detaljer.

I’ve used sketch #395 from Kortskissen for the layout. We (design team members) would love to see how you interpret the sketch! 😀

I also submit this card to:

Meowy Christmas

Another card where I’ve used paper and image from the wonderful Stamperia. God Jul stamp is from YouDo. I submit this card to the following challenges:

A pink Christmas

Yesterday’s second Christmas was made for sketch #379 at Kortskissen. It’s interesting to see how all of us in the design team have interpreted the sketch in different ways. 😀 We’d love to see YOUR take on the sketch, too!

Besides Kortskissen, I also submit this card to the following challenges:

And the simplicity continues…

Ever had one of those moments when you want to make a card, but your brain doesn’t function? This card is the result of such a moment. I just couldn’t figure out what more to add, so a couple of designer papers and a stamp will have to do.

When I saw the Jingle Belles challenge to have at least one building on the card, I immediately knew I should use this house paper from Webster’s Pages. The stamp is from a Hero Arts set. Unfortunately I don’t remember where the background paper comes from.

I also submit this card to That’s Crafty’s Christmas in September challenge.

It’s Christmas time!

Every year I have the intention to make Christmas cards during the entire year, to have a stash large enough to both send and sell when it’s time for those cards. Yeah, right. This year I have obviously made ONE Christmas card, and that was during the first week in January. So, I’d better get started now.

On this card, I’ve used part of a sheet music background stamp from Artemio in the upper right corner, snowflake stamps from Kortmakaren, and the greeting stamp is from Hero Arts. All stamped images are embossed – the sheet music with black embossing powder and the rest with gold. The background is dotted cardstock. I have them in several colors but never use them. I need to change that!

I’m participating in a total of five challenges with this card:
The current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is an easy one – Anything goes!
At Jingle Belles, the challenge is to use music elements.
Merry Monday #212 challenge us to use black, white and gold only.
Challenge #39 at Christmas Card Challenges is to be inspired by music notes:
For the layout of my card, I used the sketch from Inkspire Me #265:

Winter is here

Now when snow and proper winter has finally come here in Sweden, what is more suitable than to make and send a card saying “White Winter Greetings”? I made it for three different challenges. And I hope it qualifies for the Christmas card challenges…

  • Merry Monday #186: White on White. We’re allowed to use neutrals so I added some silver.
  • Jingle Belles: Something Old and Something New. Brand new is the glittery paper. Old is the vellum with white flourishes (I’ve had it for years but never used it) and the snowflake outline stickers.
  • Sketch Saturday #394

Holiday leftovers

The current challenge at Jingle Belles has been to use leftovers on your card. I’ve had this piece with stamped Christmas greeting laying on my desk since forever. When looking through my Christmas paper stash, the piece of bird paper was the first I found, already in a perfect size. Then paired that with the red paper crap that I just needed to trim a little to make it fit.

Skulls and candy canes

Today’s second Christmas card is a bit different. No nice Santa, no cute reindeer, no shiny tree… Just a bunch of skulls with candy canes. 😉 Searching through my Christmas stash, I found out that this paper was the only thing I had with candy canes. And of course I needed candy canes for the Candy Kisses challenge at Jingle Belles. This card is also for sketch #387 at Sketch Saturday.
