At first, I found our sketch #428 at Kortskissen quite challenging. But when I found a piece of chevron patterned paper in my stash, I immediately knew the layout of my card. I also happened to find some old rhinestone frames from Prima Marketing that I had completely forgot about, and one of them was the perfect size for the paper doily. Stamps is from Verve Stamps.
I’m late again, I should’ve blogged this already last week. Oh well… Our challenge #134 at Through The Purple Haze is “Romantic”. Which was quite a bit of a challenge for me, as my usual cardmaking style is about as far from romantic as it possibly can be. I’m quite pleased with the outcome of my romantic card though. I used papers from my fave brand Stamperia, and stamps from one of my fave clear stamps set from Verve Stamps.
We have a brand new sketch for you at Kortskissen. You are welcome to join us and show your take on the sketch. Here’s mine:
It’s quite some time since I made a card for other challenges than the ones I’m in the design team for. When I saw CAS-ual Fridays challenge #182, CASE a Girl Friday I felt I needed to participate though. The challenge is to CASE (Copy And Steal Everything) a card by one of their designer from any past challenge. I chose a Christmas card by Alanna.
I also submit my card to the following challenges:
Our current challenge #178 at Cardz 4 Guyz is the theme Nature. The tree and the leaves I’ve stamped on my card is from a clear stamp set I designed for Slöjd-Detaljer. (this set is no longer available, but we have several other sets).
For this week’s sketch at Kortskissen, I got inspired by the lined background and the arrows. The steampunkish corner stamp is from Inkadinkado, and the tiny Happy Birthday stamp is from Wish.
Our current challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz is “Something beginning with the letter D”. I couldn’t figure out having any suitable decorations or stamps for Dogs, Dinosaurs… whatever… Just now, I realize I could’ve made a Christmas card with a Deer. Oh well. I went for Date as my D word.
