Happy Birthday

A birthday card in earth tones, with brand new (got it in the mail today) stamp from Verve Stamps. I’ve got the feeling this clear stamps set is gonna be a favorite of mine!

I submit the card to the following challenges:

It’s also my card for this week’s sketch at Kortskissen:

A thanks tag

Inspired by the elegant tag at Tag You’re It challenge #56, I stamped and embossed Tack (Swedish for Thanks) on an embossed paper from SEI that I have literally had for years, and mounted it on shiny golden cardstock. Stamp is from a clear stamp set from Slöjd-Detaljer.

And the simplicity continues…

Ever had one of those moments when you want to make a card, but your brain doesn’t function? This card is the result of such a moment. I just couldn’t figure out what more to add, so a couple of designer papers and a stamp will have to do.

When I saw the Jingle Belles challenge to have at least one building on the card, I immediately knew I should use this house paper from Webster’s Pages. The stamp is from a Hero Arts set. Unfortunately I don’t remember where the background paper comes from.

I also submit this card to That’s Crafty’s Christmas in September challenge.

As simple as it gets

If you follow my blog, you probably know that I like to make clean & simple cards. With this card, I might have taken simple a little too far though. 😉 The stamps I used, the greeting and the snowflake, are both from KaiserCraft.

I submit the card to the following challenges:

A pastel blue Christmas

Blue Christm… No, wait. My card says “Warm Winter Greetings”, not Christmas. Oh well, it’s blue anyway. A soft light blue, made for CAS on Sundays challenge #91 – pastel. And for Sketch Saturday’s sketch #429.

The snowflake paper is from Creative Club, years back, and the stamp is my design for Skapa Hobby.

Christmas lights

Did you know it’s Christmas soon? Well, kind of soon. I really need to get my Christmas card making going. Here’s a card for Christmas Cards Challenge #40 – Christmas Lights. And for sketch #465 at Mojo Monday.

The only Christmas lights I could find in my stash, was in Panduro’s Deadly Sweet Christmas paper collection. The red and white striped paper with skulls you can see a glimpse of, is from the same collection.

It’s a tag!

I found a new (to me) challenge blog, Tag You’re It! with challenges for making tags instead of the more common card challenges. I find that a great idea, because I hardly ever make tags, and this might help me make more of them.

Here’s my tag for the challenge that ends today. In about half an hour to be precise, and yes, I’m an expert on doing things in the very last minute. Anyway, I used a piece of heart paper from BoBunny’s Calendar Girl Collection and alphabet rub-ons from Panduro.

Autumn is here

It’s almost mid September, and I assume that means fall is here now. So what suits better than making a “autumn greetings” card. I’ve used various designer papers, matting each piece on dark brown cardstock. The leaf corners is a clear stamp I designed for Slöjd-Detaljer. That stamp set is retired now, but we have plenty of other stamps! 😀 “Hösthälsningar” (“autumn greetings”) is a stamp by Carolina Emdin.

As always, my card is made for a few blog challenges:

Flying away

Yesterday’s card was made for three challenges:

It’s my very first time participing in a challenge for Just Us Girls and Fuzzy and Fancy, but surely not the last time. 🙂

The text is Swedish for “Have a safe trip” or “Have a nice travel”.

It’s Christmas time!

Every year I have the intention to make Christmas cards during the entire year, to have a stash large enough to both send and sell when it’s time for those cards. Yeah, right. This year I have obviously made ONE Christmas card, and that was during the first week in January. So, I’d better get started now.

On this card, I’ve used part of a sheet music background stamp from Artemio in the upper right corner, snowflake stamps from Kortmakaren, and the greeting stamp is from Hero Arts. All stamped images are embossed – the sheet music with black embossing powder and the rest with gold. The background is dotted cardstock. I have them in several colors but never use them. I need to change that!

I’m participating in a total of five challenges with this card:
The current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is an easy one – Anything goes!
At Jingle Belles, the challenge is to use music elements.
Merry Monday #212 challenge us to use black, white and gold only.
Challenge #39 at Christmas Card Challenges is to be inspired by music notes:
For the layout of my card, I used the sketch from Inkspire Me #265:
