Monthly Archives: September 2015

Autumn leaves

A couple of posts ago, I wrote that it’s still summer. Well, now it isn’t. Some days into September and the rain pouring down all day, it’s for sure autumn/fall now. Which means it’s a good idea to send an autumn greeting to brighten up someones day. I made this card from Mojo Monday’s sketch #413. It’s also for Shopping Our Stash #217 – Put a bird on it (my birds might not be in the focal part of the card, but they are there! 😀 ), and Allsorts challenge #327 – Lots of layers.

Today’s card (first one, might be one more before the day is over). At Crafty Cardmakers, challenge #146 was to not use any patterned papers. So the patterns on my card is a small Imaginisce clear stamp stamped repeatedly and colored with neon Sharpies. I used Freshly Made Sketches #202 for the layout of my card.

Just wanna say…

I absolutely love the sketch at Sunday Stamps challenge #108. I haven’t really had the time to make a card from it until now, in the very last minute. It’s also for CASology #162 – “Write”. The sentiment means “Just wanna say…”

It’s still summer

I know fall is just around the corner, but I couldn’t help myself making a summery card. I made it for Sisterhood of Snarky Sisters #41 – image only (no sentiment). All supplies can be purchased at Slöjd-Detaljer.

Sometimes it just doesn’t turn out the way you imagined it would. This card is an example of that. However, I’m posting it anyway. It’s made for two challenges – Allsorts challenge #326 and Can You Case It #84. At Allsorts, the challenge was to recycle/upcycle. I’ve recycled old sheet music and a book page. And at Can You Case It, this week’s challenge was this sketch:

The beginning of my adult coloring

You might have noticed that coloring books for adults are very popular now. Those of us who color, all do it for various reasons. For me, it’s because it’s relaxing. I can play with colors without having to think. When I make cards or draw portraits, I always think all the time. How to begin, what will be the next step and so on. When I color in coloring books, the only thinking I do is picking out a few pens to use. Then I just color.

These two images were made during my first month of coloring. The first one is from Coloring Pages for adults, and the second one is from the book Mandala Magic. Both are colored with Sense neon gel pens.

Christmas stars

My take on CAS Colours & Sketches #139 is a green and white Christmas card.
