Butterfly tag

I’m awfully late with posting my creation for Through The Purple Haze challenge #125 – Anything goes. I’ve had my mom here visiting me for a week. During this week we were also away from home for a few days, visiting Malmö and Copenhagen. I didn’t want to spend much time by my computer while she was here, so all blogging and other online stuff or editing photos was put on hold.

Anyway, here I am now. My creation for the TTPH challenge is a tag. I joined a Facebook group for trading artist trading cards and tags. I have never really worked much with the tag format (#8, 3 1/8″ x6 1/4″  or European measure 8×16 cm). I liked it, and will make loads more tags for trading in that group and probably also to sell in my Etsy shop.

Black and copper

Our current challenge at Through The Purple Haze is “glitter”. I think my card became more shiny/blingy rather that glittery though. I’ve used two patterned papers I’ve had for years – one black with metallic copper flowers, and one monochromatic copper. I’ve matted the layers on metallic copper cardstock, and added stripes of bling above and below the patterned copper paper. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps. I’ve stamped it in black, and then filled in the text with Sakura Stardust gel pen for a glittery effect.

New design team member

I’m proud to announce that I’m a new design team member at Through The Purple Haze! 😀 Our challenge #123 has the theme Thank You / Gratitude. We’d love to see your cards, so come join us! Here’s mine:

Flowers and swirls

I found our sketch #403 at Kortskissen quite challenging, and ended up interpreting it quite freely. Letting the flowery S shape be swirls and flowers. The paper I’ve used is a ten years old (!!!) paper from Fancy Pants. Sentiment is Swedish for “Spring is in the air” and is a stamp by Carolina Emdin.

Happy Hoppy Easter

So. I was making a card for challenge #49 at Inspired By All The Little Things. Where the inspirational image is a picture of a bunny in grey and black, with an allover rustic look. And I end up making a bright glitter card, lol. Well, I decided to go for the bunny theme, and this paper was the only thing with bunnies that I had in my stash. And no, unfortunately I dont know what brand the paper is. Egg is hand cut from another paper in the same series.

I used Freshly Made Sketches sketch #281 for the layout of my card:

One more card for Kortskissen

Our sketch at Kortskissen this week inspired me to make one more card. I’ve used ancient (well, almost) papers from DCWV, and stamps from my fave clear stamp set from Verve Stamps.

I also submit this card to:

Happy Easter

We’re celebrating at Kortskissen, it’s our sketch #400 this week. Come join us, you can win some lovely prizes! One of them is this samp set from Slöjd-Detaljer (okay, it’s in Swedish, so only for Swedish speaking participants then):

Brown And Black part 1

I’ve been making a whole bunch of cards with papers from the most wonderful paperpack Steampunk by Stamperia, along with a few other papers in the same color scheme. As I said, a whole bunch, so I’ll divide them into a few blog posts. Here’s part 1.

I submit the first of these cards to the following challenges:

For this card, the only thing besides the papers, is a birthday stamp from Verses:

The Congratulations stamp on this card, is from Viva Las Vegastamps. The corners and border around the card is the paper print, but I completed the look with a corner stamp from Vilda Stamps just outside the Congratulations. I added some black rhinestones as decoration:

The sentiment on this card is from the stamp set “Stuff To Say” by Tim Holtz. The only thing I’ve added besides papers and stamped sentiment, are small black dots (with Sakura Glaze pen) along the border:

Hearts on Valentine’s Day

Even though it’s too late to send Valentine cards now, as it is Valentine’s Day today, I still made a card with hearts and a love greeting. I have used scraps of various designer papers, and a clear stamp from Paper Smooches.

I submit my card to the following bunch of challenges:

A winter birthday

Snowflake paper and decorations don’t necessarily need to be used for Christmas cards or winter greetings. It’s a perfect theme for a card to someone who has his/her birthday during the winter months. I’ve mixed three different designer papers on this card, two of them with snowflake print. Happy Birthday is a clear stamp from Verve Stamps, and the snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch.

It’s my card for sketch #392 at Kortskissen:
