Christmas part 2

Our challenge #133 at Through The Purple Haze is “In the Woods”. I don’t have much on that theme, but found this image among my Christmas papers. All papers are from Stamperia.

Sea You Soon

Ooh, I just realized I haven’t blogged my card for Through The Purple Haze challenge #132 – Marine/Sea theme. As I didn’t have any suitable stamp or image, I drew a seahorse on shimmery turquoise paper. The stripes of glitter washi symbolize the sea, and I thought it was a good play with words to write “Sea” instead of “See”. 🙂

A Vintage Card

Our theme for Through The Purple Haze challenge #131 is Vintage. I used my beloved papers from Stamperia on my card. One of the papers had a sentiment print, so no stamping needed. Decorations are lace and Prima Marketing bling swirls.

I also submit my card to Crafting By Designs August Anything Goes Challenge.

It’s The Little Things…

Another late blog post… At Through The Purple Haze, our challenge #130 is Anything Goes. So feel free to create whatever you wish. 😀 There is still four days until deadline, so you still have the chance to participate.

For my card, I used old papers from My Mind’s Eye, glittery washi tape and stamp from Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz collection “Good Thoughts”.

Things With Wings

Our new challenge at Through The Purple Haze is “Things With Wings“. As I love using butterflies on my creations, that’s of course what I chose for this challenge.

I’ve made a one layer card. First I stamped the large butterfly. I also stamped it on a post-it note, cut it out and placed it on the butterfly I had stamped on the card. Then I stamped the butterfly panel three times as background. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this technique, it’s called masking.

I’ve colored the stamped images with three shades of yellow/orange, and then filled in all the black on the large butterfly with black Sakura Glaze gel roller pen to make it pop out a bit.

I used CAS(E) this Sketch #229 for the layout of my card:

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

Adore

It’s time for a new challenge at Through The Purple Haze! 😀 Our challenge #128 is Spots and/or Stripes. I went for both on my yellow card, all made with various papers from an old My Mind’s Eye collection. Also the word “Adore” is from one of the papers. The only other decoration I’ve added is a rhinestone swirl from Prima Marketing.

Pink it is

Challenge #127 at Through The Purple Haze was supposed to be monochromatic. But since all of us happened to make pink cards, the color pink is the challenge instead. Come joing us – we’d love to see your pink creations!

I’ve used several stamps for this card. Sentiment is from VerveStamps, corner coggs from Inkadinkado, small butterfly from a non-brand set from Wish, and larger butterfly is my own design for Reprint.

Oh deer

I’m a bit late with this blog post, but here we go now. Our current theme at Through The Purple Haze is Animal. I finally dared put my scissors in this lovely paper with a cute litlle deer. All pieces on the card – deer, flowers, clouds, are cut out from the same paper. “Enjoy” is from a non-brand clear stamp set from Wish.

Butterfly tag

I’m awfully late with posting my creation for Through The Purple Haze challenge #125 – Anything goes. I’ve had my mom here visiting me for a week. During this week we were also away from home for a few days, visiting Malmö and Copenhagen. I didn’t want to spend much time by my computer while she was here, so all blogging and other online stuff or editing photos was put on hold.

Anyway, here I am now. My creation for the TTPH challenge is a tag. I joined a Facebook group for trading artist trading cards and tags. I have never really worked much with the tag format (#8, 3 1/8″ x6 1/4″  or European measure 8×16 cm). I liked it, and will make loads more tags for trading in that group and probably also to sell in my Etsy shop.

Black and copper

Our current challenge at Through The Purple Haze is “glitter”. I think my card became more shiny/blingy rather that glittery though. I’ve used two patterned papers I’ve had for years – one black with metallic copper flowers, and one monochromatic copper. I’ve matted the layers on metallic copper cardstock, and added stripes of bling above and below the patterned copper paper. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps. I’ve stamped it in black, and then filled in the text with Sakura Stardust gel pen for a glittery effect.
