I’m slightly late with this blog post. Being busy before going away on vacation, I forgot to make a scheduled post. But, here it is now, my card for the latest challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. Our theme this time is Beside The Sea.
Background is an old paper (you should see my huge stash of papers I’ve collected through the years), I think it’s from Maja Design. The lighthouse is a stamp I designed for Reprint Hobby many years ago, and the “Trevlig Sommar” (Swedish for “Have a nice simmer”) is from a summer set I designed for Skapa Hobby (no longer available).
My cardmaking intention for today was to make Valentine cards. For some reason I ended up making a 70’s birthday card instead. The digits are Thickers I’ve had for ages. “Gratulerar” stamp if from Skapa hobby (no longer available), and the butterfly stamp is from Reprint. Both of them designed by me.
I’ve used sketch #314 at MFT Card Challenges for the layout:
I don’t participate in color challenges very often, but this time I did. IN{K}SPIRE_me Challenge #282:
I also submit the card to Butterfly Challenge #69 – Z is for Zero, and Everybody-Art-Challenge #394 – Anything goes.
Christmas might have been just a couple of weeks ago, but I’ll prepare for next Christmas season by making Christmas cards all year. For this card, I’ve used a snowman image from Slöjd-Detaljer, and a “Merry Christmas & Happy New Year” (in Swedish) clear stamp from a set I designed for Skapa Hobby (no longer available).
I submit my card to the following challenges:
I’ve decided that today will be dedicated to cardmaking. Christmas cardmaking that is. Here’s the first one. The snowmen family is a stamp I designed for Skapa Hobby (no longer available) years ago. Somehow I don’t like to use stamp images I have made but this it pretty okay. I love smiley faces. 😀
I made the card for a bunch of challenges:
My card for sketch #383 at Kortskissen is a Thank you (“Tack” is Swedish for “Thanks”) card in fall colors. I’ve used designer papers from Panduro, Tack stamp that is my design for Skapa Hobby (no longer avaiable) and various bling.
Besides the sketch, I submit my card to the following challenges:
Look, it’s not a Christmas card! It’s a get well card. Made for CASology week 221, where the theme is “Cure”, and AAA Card CAS Game #76, “Masculine“. For the layout of the card, I used CAS(E) this Sketch #196.
As all three challenges are clean & simple, my card is very… clean & simple! 😉 The paper for the stripes and the heart are from K-Designs. The stamp is my design for Skapa Hobby (no longer available). I stamped with white ink pad, then filled it in with Posca pen to make it more white.
I plan for a total cardmaking weekend, and here’s the first card. A Christmas card with papers (bird and background papers) from Stamperia. It’s an Italian craft supplier, making THE most beasutiful papers, and other things as well. The God Jul stamp I used are from an old clear stamp set I designed for Skapa Hobby, no longer available.
As always, I’ve used a few challenges as inspiration:
On a dark fall day like this, being too tired to do any chores, I have decided today will be a cardmaking day. Yes, all day long! 😀
Here’s the first card of the day. I’ve used white vellum with glittery wintery swirly print, banners cut out from Maja Design papers, a white glittery snowflake made with a Martha Stewart punch, and a “Have A Wonderful Christmas” sentiment stamp that is my design for Skapa Hobby. It’s always tricky to adhere vellum without the glue or tape shining through. I rather use a thin tape all along the edges, to make it looking a bit like a border, than to add small dots of glue/tape.
I’m very thankful for Less is More’s challenge #299, to use vellum, as I hardly ever do that. I was also inspired by Jenni Murray‘s card at Muse challenge #188. I wanted to make mine in the same colors as hers, but I didn’t find any suitable turquoise or light blue papers.
Jennis’s card:
My card:
Blue Christm… No, wait. My card says “Warm Winter Greetings”, not Christmas. Oh well, it’s blue anyway. A soft light blue, made for CAS on Sundays challenge #91 – pastel. And for Sketch Saturday’s sketch #429.
The snowflake paper is from Creative Club, years back, and the stamp is my design for Skapa Hobby.
This week’s sketch at Kortskissen is now online. We’d love to see how you interpret the sketch. 😀 Here’s my take on it. Sentiment means “On your day”, and is my design for Skapa Hobby (no longer available).
