Wow! I haven’t updated this blog since January…!! As a matter of fact, I haven’t updated any of my blogs since January. I got stuck on Facebook and forgot all about blogging…
Here are the three drawings I’ve made so far this year. I know, three isn’t much for half a year. But it’s better than none at all. 😉
My 8th and last drawing for 2010 was a commission. A portrait of my friend and colleague Eva and her daughter Emily, which Eva’s husband gave her for Christmas. It’s an A3 (approximately 16.5″x11.7″), twice the size of the other drawings I have made. But then, there are two people in it. 😉
In November I made a drawing of Audie, drummer of Great White. I’m not very happy with the result, compared to my other drawings. I guess I felt kind of stressed about it. I travelled to Portugal to see Great White in November, and made this drawing in the very last minute before the trip.
I managed to make not only one, but two drawings in October. This is a commission portrait, a friend’s son.
In October, I made a portrait of Scott, bassplayer in my fave band Great White. I was a bit nervous about it, as he is an artist too. But he says he loves it. Personally, I think this is my best drawing this far. 😀
In August, I made my drawing #4 since my ‘comeback’. Where is drawing #3, you might ask? Well, it was a commission portrait that I will not post in public.
So, #4. Tony, a very goodlooking guy I know a bit via his band and via Facebook. 😀

I made this a couple of weeks ago, and uploaded it to my general blog. But since time has been limited for quite a while, I never got around to upload it here, too. But here it is now, my drawing #2 since getting back into drawing. The beautiful Adam Lambert.

My very first real piece of artwork for almost ten years. Yay! Since I haven’t been drawing for so long, I thought it might be a good idea to start by drawing some portraits from photos, just to practise on the likeness, shading and stuff.
First out is one of my fave singers, Jack Russell of Great White (who actually gave me the last push to get back into drawing, thanks to what he said in an interview, about that your talent is a gift you have been given to use – I guess I was ready to hear something like that now ).
I’m quite satisfied with the result, especially considering for how long I have not practised at all.
