One more mom?

LOL, no. I only have one mom (whom by the way is the world’s very best mom). I’ve made a few extra Mother’s Day cards though, in case someone else wants a card for their mom. 🙂 I kept this card very simple, as I think the colorful designer paper by K-Designs doesn’t ask for a lot of other details on the card. The sentiment stamp (Swedish for “The World’s Best Mom”) is from Inkido. As only embellishment I added three heart stickers, following the same color scheme as the paper.

This card is made for AAA Cards Game #89 – Bright and beatiful:

The layout of the card is inspired by Freshly Made Sketches sketch #287:

A Purple CAS Card

When I saw Freshly Made Sketches sketch #283, I knew I wanted to make a really clean & simple card. At the bottom of the card, I have adhered a piece of striped overlay (acetate), and then added a thin border sticker along the edge of the overlay. The sentiment, a clear stamp from Technique Tuesday, is embossed with white embossing powder. I added a few pearls in the corner of the card. That’s it.

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

Flowers and swirls

I found our sketch #403 at Kortskissen quite challenging, and ended up interpreting it quite freely. Letting the flowery S shape be swirls and flowers. The paper I’ve used is a ten years old (!!!) paper from Fancy Pants. Sentiment is Swedish for “Spring is in the air” and is a stamp by Carolina Emdin.

From Easter to Christmas

Making a card for IN{K}SPIRE_me’s challenge #293 – mint, brown and white – I immediately knew I wanted to use papers from one of Stamperia’s Christmas paper sets. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I have to say once again that Stamperia is one of my fave paper designers. The circle with snowflakes is a stamp from Creative Epressions, which I embossed with chocolate brown embossinpowder, and then cut out the image around the edges of the stamped circle.

I used the sketch from The Crafter’s Cafe challenge #169 for the layout of my card.

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

Chicken and eggs

I really liked the clean and simple look of the sketch at Fusion’s Paris Rain challenge, and I decided to go with the sketch only and not the image. I made an Easter card with an old paper (yes, I have lots of old supplies after working in a scrapbook store for five years, before my five years at a craft store…) from Forma Hantverk. Glad Påsk is Swedish for Happy Easter, and is from a clear stamps set by Slöjd-Detaljer (it’s retired, but there are plenty of other clear stamps sets available).

Black, White and Red

Today’s therapy: Making a card. 🙂 The patterned background paper is an old paper called Paintables by Prima Marketing. Yes, old it is. Since way before coloring for adults became popular. It actually says 2007 on the paper! I’ve colored it with Staedtler Triplus pens. The sentiment is from one of my fave clear stamp sets, Wishing You by Verve Stamps. I love how you can mix and match the “Wishing you” with various texts.

I used MFT sketch #325 for the design:

A flower for you

My card for this week’s sketch at Kortskissen is a small CAS (clean & simple) card that’s perfect for enclosing when giving flowers to someone. The sentiment is Swedish for “A flower for you”. That stamp is from a clear stamp set I designed for Slöjd-Detaljer, unfortunately not available any more though. The flower stamp if from a Heidi Grace set I’ve had for years.

Besides Kortskissen, I also submit my card to the following challenges:

As square as it gets

I think it’s quite a while since I last participated in one of Inspired by All the Little Things’ challenges. I really liked the photo for their challenge #42, and got inspired by the black letters, red heart and wooden background.

I also submit my card to:

Hearts for Valentine

This Valentine’s card with dotted red heart stickers is my take on our sketch at Kortskissen this week. Come join us, we’d love to see how you interpret the sketch! 🙂
It’s also my take on CAS on Sunday challenge #100 – Hearts.
