Not much cardmaking lately, again. Here’s one for today though, for CAS Colours & Sketches #150. In case you wonder about the 24, in Sweden we celebrate on Christmas Eve, not Christmas Day.
I can’t remember if I have ever created a card with just black and one other color. I’m quite satisfied with how it turned out so I’ll probably make more in the future, although other colors and other layout Or the same layout again, maybe. It’s from a sketch at clean&simple stamping, and I really liked creating from it. 😀
The clean & simple continues. It seems like I hardly ever make any well decorated cards anymore. I guess clean & simple is my style. So, to match three different challenges, here’s a clean & simple wedding card.
At The Paper Players current challenge the theme is Wedded Bliss, and at clean&simple stamping the theme is Wedding. I combined these two with a sketch from Sketch Saturday, where the challenge is to use a past sketch. This is the sketch I chose:
Card base – Papercraft Scandinavia
White cardstock (for matting) – Slöjd-Detaljer
Vintage image – unknown, possibly Papercraft Scandinavia
Sentiment rubber stamp – unknown
Embossing ink pad – VersaMark
White embossing powder – Heindesigns
Chipboard heart – Reprint
White ink pad for coloring the heart – Memories
Pearls – Perlen Pen
Kind of cheating (?) because the only stamped on this card is the text. Snowman is cut from a scrapbooking paper… However, here’s my card for clean & simple stamping’s sketch #267:
Designer paper (striped and snowman) – unknown, I’ve had them for a few years
God Jul rubber stamp – Kortmakaren
I found Clean & Simple Stamping’s sketch #242 very inspiring.
Sentiment says “Just wanted to say hi”, and is a stamp from Reprint Artstamps. Circles is a stamp from a Tim Holtz set, then colored with red and white Posca pens.
I found a very inspiring sketch at clean & simple stamping. I never got around to post the card in time before the challenge deadline, but as they say – better late than never. 🙂
I used three different washi tapes (I’m a washi addict!!), a few of pearls and a rubberstamp by Carolina Emdin (text means “Happy Birthday”).
As always, I’m in the very last minute with everything. So here are cards for three challenges, of which two have the deadline today…! Oh, and please excuse if the photo quality isn’t the best. Nowadays I’m too lazy to take any other pictures than Instagram photos with my smartphone…
First one for clean & simple stamping. And… uhm… I just noticed that the challenge is already closed. Oh well, I made the card anyway:
Then a card for retrosketches. I obviously had the wrong date on the deadline for this too, as this is also already closed. Duh.
And last but not least, a card for Kortskissen:
I’ve made quite a few cards the last couple of days. Suddenly my mind was all blank, my ideas were poof gone! And I wanted to participate in a few more challenges… So I decided to simply let the papers do the talking. I’ve used a paper from Reprint om both cards. Besides the card bases and the designer paper – a star on one card and a cord on the other card. That’s it. Nothing else. Boring? Maybe. 😉 They do look a bit better IRL though, colors turned out very weird in the photos.
The first card is for Less is More week 33 – “Anything CAS goes”. Btw Julkram means “Christmas hugs”.
The second card is for CAS-ual Fridays CFC20 – Mini cards. My card is slightly smaller than 4″x4″.
My square mind like sketch #157 at Clean & Simple stamping. 😀 I hardly ever use flowers on my cards though, so what was a flower on the sketch, became a heart on my card.
The dotted ribbon is not that pale in real life, it’s just slightly lighter than the wooden heart and the blue paper. “Omtanke” is the Swedish word for “care”.
Yay, I made TWO cards tonight after work. 😀
Second is a card made for Less is More, where challenge #31 is to make a card with something that has a metallic finish. I went ALL metallic, with golden cardstock, golden selfadhesive swirly ribbon and the sentiment embossed in gold.
