More Love

Yes, it’s that time of the year. Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. Many of the card challenge blogs I follow, have love and/or Valentine as themes for their current challenges. At Cardz 4 Guyz challenge #188, our theme is “Something beginning with L”. I chose Love. So did some of the others in the design team, while other chose other L words. This is my last card for Cardz 4 Guyz. It’s been fun to be a part of their talented design team, but I want to free more time for other crafts so therefore leaving the team.

This card is an example that things aren’t always what they appear to be, lol. I wanted a black and white striped paper for background. I didn’t have any, so I added stripes of black washi to a white paper. The LOVE chipboard letters had other colors, so I colored them with black marker. The heart was gray chipboard, so colored it with golden marker. The I and U were green (the only letter stickers I had in the perfect size). I tried to color them with white marker, but unfortunately the green still shine through i tiny little bit. The heart inbetween I and U was red with white dots, I colored it with white marker.

As layout and inspiration for this card, I used MFT Sketch #371, and the photo at Time Out Challenge #102. List of other challenges I participate in are beneath the images.

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

You Rock My World

I’m slow, I really am. I should’ve made this blog post already last week, when our current challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz went online. Our theme for challenge #187 is Music. Being a love of rock music and having some such stamps and papers on that theme, my card is all about rock. 🙂

The guitar is a stamp from Inkadinkado, whick I have stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder. All papers are from an old collection by Die Cuts With A View. “You Rock My World” is part of the print on the purple paper, but I filled it in with black marker and outlined it with white marker to make it pop out a bit.

January Blues

January Blues, i.e. making blue cards, is the theme for Cardz 4 Guyz’ first challenge of the year, and here’s my card for it. “You are my” and the stars are stamped, while “Star” is Thickers.

I also submit my cards to the following challenges:

It’s been a while again. Being sick plus work being really exhausting, I’ve completely forgot (!) to blog. So, a week late, here’s my card for Cardz 4 Guyz challenge #184 Snowman. My snowman is from a several years old designer paper. God Jul is from a clear stamp set by Slöjd-Detaljer.

Challenge #183 at Cardz 4 Guyz is Reindeer. I used an image from a paper I’ve had for ages, don’t know the brand, and a Merry Christmas stamp from Vilda Stamps.

For the layout of the card, I have used MFT Sketch #359.

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

Oh Christmas Tree

Our current challenge #182 at Cardz 4 Guyz is “Oh Christmas Tree”. I had this fun designer paper with a line of Christmas trees, with the Christmas greeting printed along the bottom of the line. In the corner I added some snowflake stickers. They were silver, but I colored them with a black marker.

Thinking of You

I can’t believe I’ve done it again! I’ve totally forgot to blog one of my cards. It’s for our challenge #181 at Cardz 4 Guyz – Remembrance/Sympathy/Thinking of You. I made a Thinking of You, card which would work fine as a Sympathy card as well.

Challenge #80 at Cardz 4 Guyz is Halloween or Autumn Thank You. I went for Halloween with papers from Swedish company Pion Design, and chipboard ghosts and boo.

Have A Safe Travel

Oops, I did it again… Having a stressful week befor going away for four days, it completely slipped my mind to blog my card for Cardz 4 Guyz challenge #179. The theme this time is Architecture, and you still have five more days to make a card for the challenge.

I chose a picture from Stamperia’s collection Around The World, that features a… building… from somewhere. 😉 I found it suitable for a card for someone who’ll travel somewhere. The quote on top of the card is part of the print on the paper I used as background, and “Have a safe travel” is rubon letters.

Our current challenge #178 at Cardz 4 Guyz is the theme Nature. The tree and the leaves I’ve stamped on my card is from a clear stamp set I designed for Slöjd-Detaljer. (this set is no longer available, but we have several other sets).
