A Purple CAS Card

When I saw Freshly Made Sketches sketch #283, I knew I wanted to make a really clean & simple card. At the bottom of the card, I have adhered a piece of striped overlay (acetate), and then added a thin border sticker along the edge of the overlay. The sentiment, a clear stamp from Technique Tuesday, is embossed with white embossing powder. I added a few pearls in the corner of the card. That’s it.

Slightly romantic…

This card is sligthly different from most cards I make. It’s got a bit more romantic style – pastel colors, doily border punched paper… It’s my card for sketch #405 at Kortskissen. As always, you are welcome to join us and show how you interpret our sketch.

I also submit this card to Shopping Our Stash Challenge #298 – Using punches and/or dies (I used a border punch) and to The Card Concept Challenge #71 (clean and layered style):

Neon Flowers

For today’s card, I stamped flowers on neon colored cardstock, cut them out and adhered to the cardbase. Both flower stamps are ancient and for sure not available anywhere anymore. 😉 Happy Birthday is though, it’s part of my fave stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. I’ve added Glossy Accents in the middle of the large flowers, and sequins in the middle of the small flowers.

I made this card for Muse Challenge #211. I interpreted the colorful circles in the card, as flowers on my card. And kept the sentiment in the bottom right corner.

Happy Birthday Big Guy

A cool graphiti card for a cool guy. All designer paper used, including the star which is handcut, are from K-Design. The sentiment is a combination of two different stamps – “Happy Birthday” is from Verve Stamps’ Chevron Love set, and “Big Guy” is from Paper Smooches’ Daddy Yo set.

Black, White and Red

Today’s therapy: Making a card. 🙂 The patterned background paper is an old paper called Paintables by Prima Marketing. Yes, old it is. Since way before coloring for adults became popular. It actually says 2007 on the paper! I’ve colored it with Staedtler Triplus pens. The sentiment is from one of my fave clear stamp sets, Wishing You by Verve Stamps. I love how you can mix and match the “Wishing you” with various texts.

I used MFT sketch #325 for the design:

One more card for Kortskissen

Our sketch at Kortskissen this week inspired me to make one more card. I’ve used ancient (well, almost) papers from DCWV, and stamps from my fave clear stamp set from Verve Stamps.

Brown And Black part 1

I’ve been making a whole bunch of cards with papers from the most wonderful paperpack Steampunk by Stamperia, along with a few other papers in the same color scheme. As I said, a whole bunch, so I’ll divide them into a few blog posts. Here’s part 1.

I submit the first of these cards to the following challenges:

For this card, the only thing besides the papers, is a birthday stamp from Verses:

The Congratulations stamp on this card, is from Viva Las Vegastamps. The corners and border around the card is the paper print, but I completed the look with a corner stamp from Vilda Stamps just outside the Congratulations. I added some black rhinestones as decoration:

The sentiment on this card is from the stamp set “Stuff To Say” by Tim Holtz. The only thing I’ve added besides papers and stamped sentiment, are small black dots (with Sakura Glaze pen) along the border:

Butterfly congrats

Another quick card. I’ve only used two designer papers from DCWV’s Mariposa collection. The left part with the green shape, butterfly, flowers and the background is one single piece, then a thin line of gold glitter washi tape and another paper to the right. Grattis (Swedish for “congrats”) which is from a clear stamp set by Slöjd-Detaljer, is gold embossed.

Happy Birthday

I decided to make some quick and simple cards, by using pieces of designer paper that hardly need any decorations at all. For this first one, I used two different papers from DCWV Mariposa collection, and mounted them on gold glitter paper before adhering to a dark brown cardbase. Happy Birthday is from a clear stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, and gold embossed.

I almost freaked out when I saw Country View’s February challenge – to make a card in 30 minutes or less. I use to spend hours on a card. This one was made in less than 30 minutes though.

I also submit my card to Simon Say’s Wednesday Challenge – Anything goes.

Birthday Flowers

Yay, day off work means cardmaking day. 😀 Here’s the first card. The “Happy Birthday” stamp is from K-Designs, and the flowers are cut out from an old designer paper from Pink Paislee.

This is my first submission to Muse Challenge for quite some time. For their challenge #200, this was the card to get inspired by:
