Valentine’s Day

Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day today. And here’s a Valentine’s Day (“Alla Hjärtans Dag” is Swedish for “Valentine’s Day”) card I made for Kortskissen sketch #448. List of other challenges I participate in with this card is below the images.

I submit my card to the following challenges:

More Love

Yes, it’s that time of the year. Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. Many of the card challenge blogs I follow, have love and/or Valentine as themes for their current challenges. At Cardz 4 Guyz challenge #188, our theme is “Something beginning with L”. I chose Love. So did some of the others in the design team, while other chose other L words. This is my last card for Cardz 4 Guyz. It’s been fun to be a part of their talented design team, but I want to free more time for other crafts so therefore leaving the team.

This card is an example that things aren’t always what they appear to be, lol. I wanted a black and white striped paper for background. I didn’t have any, so I added stripes of black washi to a white paper. The LOVE chipboard letters had other colors, so I colored them with black marker. The heart was gray chipboard, so colored it with golden marker. The I and U were green (the only letter stickers I had in the perfect size). I tried to color them with white marker, but unfortunately the green still shine through i tiny little bit. The heart inbetween I and U was red with white dots, I colored it with white marker.

As layout and inspiration for this card, I used MFT Sketch #371, and the photo at Time Out Challenge #102. List of other challenges I participate in are beneath the images.

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

Where There Is Love

Here’s my first card for Kortskissen sketch #448. I actually made two cards for this week’s sketch, I’ll post the other one in a couple of days. As so often, I also participate in several other challenges as well, list is below the images.

I submit my card to the following challenges:

Flowers and a bird

It’s already a new week, and we have a new sketch at Kortskissen. As always, we’d like to see your take on the sketch.

I interpreted the sketch quite freely. The things in the corners became flower patterned paper, and the diagonal text is a tag on my card.

I also submit my card to the following challenges:

Happy Birthday Big Guy

A cool graphiti card for a cool guy. All designer paper used, including the star which is handcut, are from K-Design. The sentiment is a combination of two different stamps – “Happy Birthday” is from Verve Stamps’ Chevron Love set, and “Big Guy” is from Paper Smooches’ Daddy Yo set.

I submit my card to the following challenges:

It’s Christmas time

Christmas might have been just a couple of weeks ago, but I’ll prepare for next Christmas season by making Christmas cards all year. For this card, I’ve used a snowman image from Slöjd-Detaljer, and a “Merry Christmas & Happy New Year” (in Swedish) clear stamp from a set I designed for Skapa Hobby (no longer available).

I submit my card to the following challenges:

Snowmen and snowwomen

I’ve decided that today will be dedicated to cardmaking. Christmas cardmaking that is. Here’s the first one. The snowmen family is a stamp I designed for Skapa Hobby (no longer available) years ago. Somehow I don’t like to use stamp images I have made but this it pretty okay. I love smiley faces. 😀

I made the card for a bunch of challenges:

Thank you in fall colors

My card for sketch #383 at Kortskissen is a Thank you (“Tack” is Swedish for “Thanks”) card in fall colors. I’ve used designer papers from Panduro, Tack stamp that is my design for Skapa Hobby (no longer avaiable) and various bling.

Besides the sketch, I submit my card to the following challenges:

Let it snow

A Christmas card in red and gold. The lovely winter scenery is from a paper by Stamperia (I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I love their products!). I stamped a circle stamp with snowflakes, from Phil Martin Sentimentally Yours, on the round image, and embossed with gold embossing powder before I cut out the image. I punched snowflakes with two different Martha Stewart punches in golden paper. God Jul at the bottom of the card are peel-off stickers (outline stickers). I added Stickles Star Dust glitter glue along the snow on the image and in the middle of each snowflake.

I submit this card to The Paper Players challenge #319 – Tic Tac Toe (I chose red, glitter and snowflakes) and to A Gem of A Challenge #181 – Snowflakes.

It is also my card for this week’s Kortskissen, sketch #381.

A pink Christmas

Yesterday’s second Christmas was made for sketch #379 at Kortskissen. It’s interesting to see how all of us in the design team have interpreted the sketch in different ways. 😀 We’d love to see YOUR take on the sketch, too!

Besides Kortskissen, I also submit this card to the following challenges:
