This week’s Mojo

It’s been quite a while since I used a Mojo Monday sketch. Checking my blog, I realize I haven’t done so since December! So I guess it’s about time now. 🙂
Stamp is from a clear stamp set from Slöjd-Detaljer. I love our stamps! 😀

46

For this past week’s challenge at Can You Case It, you could choose to make a birthday card with our without the sketch. I went with the sketch. And, I used stickers! I hardly ever use stickers, but I have a few old ones in my stash which I should probably use up.

Several of my friends are turning 46 or 47 this year, and this card will go to one of the “46’ers”. 😀

Loads of challenges

Second card for today is made for five different challenges, four of them from blogs I discovered just today:

  1. Card Mania challenge #82 – Lace and/or Pearls. I squeezed in both. I have loads of lace that I hardly ever use, I guess I should try to use it more often in my projects.
  2. Cards und More challenge #163 – Embossing. Sentiment is embossed with black embossing powder. And embossing is something I should do more often as well. I’ve become “lazy” and always stamp without embossing.
  3. Tuesday Throwdown #304 – Happy Birthday.
  4. Simon Says – Anything Goes.
  5. Sketch Saturday’s sketch #422.

Journey

I’ve got plans for this day being a cardmaking day. Here’s the first card of the day, made for three different challenges:

AAA Cards challenge #69 is to use one favorite item to use. I cheated, I used two… washi tape and rhinestones.
Week 208 challenge at CASology is the theme journey. “Trevlig resa” on my card is Swedish for “Have a nice trip”.
And last but not least, I used CAS(E) this Sketch #182.

D is for Denim. And Dimension.

Guess what?! I’ve made a card! Yes, you read that right. Last card I posted here was almost a month ago. I had so much fun making this card, inspired by three different challenges:

Butterfly Challenge #58 – D is for Dimension and/or Denim. I found a cotton fabric with denim print in my stash, which was absolutely perfect for this challenge. Then a bit of dimension by using 3D dots under the Grattis stamp, and glueing just the body of the butterfly, lifting the wings up from the card (by the way, I almost always do that when using butterflies).

Shopping Our Stash challenge #262 is to use stitching. I don’t own a sewing machine, and was too lazy to stitch by hand, so I made faux stitches with Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze pen.

And then I used the sketch at The Paper Players challenge #305.
