“Warning! A hug may jump out when you open…” That’s what the sentiment on this card means in English. When I saw this sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, I immediately thought of splashes of Dylusions Ink Spray. I haven’t used mine in ages, and as far as I can remember I’ve never used them on a card, only for art journaling.
I have decided that I need to use other colors than white or kraft for my cards. I have plenty of card bases in lots of different colors. It would be good if I actually use them every now and then. 😉
First card in “using my colored card bases” is for challenge #134 at CAS Colours & Sketches. Not only is it a slight bit of a challenge to use a colored card base, but also one that is apricot/salmon colored. That’s kind of a hate color of mine…
This is probably one of the cleanest and most simple of the clean & simple cards I’ve made, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. It’s for the current challenge at CASology, where the theme is “line”. I.e. use line(s) in any form. I used a stripe of striped washi tape. Actually one of my newest washis, which I love because I love anything rainbow colored. 😀
Sentiment means “Congrats, it’s your day today”.
I did have some difficulties with this week’s sketch at Mojo Monday. On the sketch, there are circles. There are two things I have a hard time using on my cards. One is circles and anything round shaped. Unless it’s pearls or rhinestones. The other thing is flowers, which would probably have been a good choice to use where those circles are. I ended up making small flower like kind of thingies with Pearl Maker instead, that’ll have to do.
The Swedish sentiment I used, means “Creativity is to invent, explore, experiment, grow, take risks, break rules, make mistakes and have fun”. Very wise words. 🙂
It’s ages since I showed any decorated Filofax pages, so I guess it’s on time now. This is week 10 (although I made a mistake and wrote week 11 on the pages) – see, I’m only twenty weeks behind. 😉 Quite a bit more pastel colors and romantic style than I usually use/like.
Hip hip hooray, that’s what it says on this card. Although in Swedish. 😀 It’s my card for this week’s sketch at Kortskissen. Sketch was published already on Monday this week – I’m just a bit slow with updating my blog. Which by the way hasn’t been updated for an entire month. It’s called vacation. Been here and there on my summer vacation, and have hardly done any papercrafting at all. But, now I’m back. 😀
As always, I’ve made a clean and simple card. All supplies (which aren’t that many, LOL) can be purchased at Slöjd-Detaljer.
