This weekend we’re celebrating Midsummer in Sweden. I’m thinking Christmas today, though. I just discovered a Christmas card challenge blog I didn’t know of, Merry Monday Christmas. Trying to get back on track with my one Christmas card a week (which only lasted for the first few weeks of the year), I had a go with their challenge #163 which was to make a card in red and white. For the layout of the card, I used CAS(E) this Sketch #128.
Supplies:
Card base – Slöjd-Detaljer
Designer paper – unknown, old scraps
Dark red cardstock
Clear stamp – Slöjd-Detaljer Jultexter
Ink – VersaFine Black Onyx
Organza ribbon – Reprint
I can’t remember if I have ever created a card with just black and one other color. I’m quite satisfied with how it turned out so I’ll probably make more in the future, although other colors and other layout Or the same layout again, maybe. It’s from a sketch at clean&simple stamping, and I really liked creating from it. 😀
Supplies:
Card base – Slöjd-Detaljer
Black cardstock
Grattis rubber stamp – Minelle
Flowers clear stamp – Imaginisce
Satin ribbon – Slöjd-Detaljer
When I started making this card, I wasn’t sure of the purpose. But after picking out paper suitable for both the sketch and the color theme the card is made for, I realized that with clouds and a butterly, a summer greeting was perfect for the card. The sentiment means “Have a nice summer” in English. So, the challenges I made the card for, are CAS(E) This Sketch #127 and The Paper Players #249.
Supplies:
Card base – Docrafts Anita’s
Dotted paper – Inkido
Cloud paper – Becky Higgins Honey Project Life card
