CFC17 – Don’t Postpone Joy

The latest challenge on CAS-ual Fridays was to use stickers (or rub-ons). I have this entire sheet of quotes stickers from Chatterbox that I got years ago but have hardly ever used. They now seem totally perfect for clean and simple cards, so I will probably make similar cards with the rest of those stickers. 😀

More cards with Verve stamps

I love my new Verve stamps. 😀 So I had to use them on both cards I made tonight.

The first card I made just to use the piece I had left of that patterned paper (I don’t remember which brand it is, but we sell them at work). Note: I used flowers! I hardly ever use flowers on my cards.

The second card is for The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC96.

Since mint, ivory and coral are so NOT my colors (okay, maybe ivory), I wanted to challenge myself and participate. I ended up hardly using ivory at all, but a lot of mint and coral. Papers are from Fancy Pants and Cosmo Cricket. Swirly flower stamp I used in the corners is Heidi Grace.

Kortskissen 139 och 140

Tonight I finished the card I almost completed last Sunday, for Kortskissen 139 which was a sketch and a color challenge. I’m pretty satisfied with the result, which doesn’t happen to me that often. 😉 Btw, in English, the sentiment means “A friend is someone who knows everything about you but still likes you.”

The Sketch

My Card

Tonight I also made a card for Kortskissen 140. A bit too simple and boring, but I had a total lack of ideas of what more to add to it. (And Hej means “Hi” in English.)

Mojo Monday 205

I just finished my card for Mojo Monday 205. As soon as I saw the sketch, I thought of the black bow I bought at the book store ages ago but never used, and that the black on the sketch should be the black SEI paper I love so much… This is how my card turned out, and I guess you can tell that I love blingy stuff. 😉 The two patterned black&silver papers are from DCWV, and the sentiment is from a set I just bought from Verve Stamps. 😀

colourQ challenge #98

The color scheme for this colourQ challenge:

And my last minute quick card that didn’t turn out as I wanted it to, and then not very well photographed as I had another camera than I use to and not the best light. But oh well, here we go:

A cute little deer

You don’t always need to add a sentiment or greeting on the front of a card. For example, I thought that would have been too much on this card. The paper with the cute deer is enough, don’t you think? 😀

Less is More – Feeling Fruity

My first participation in any of Less is More‘s challenges, and the theme of the week is to make a card with fruits or in fruity colors. I realized I don’t have ANY fruit stamps or embellishments. I did remember I saw a strawberry postcard the other day when I organized some of my crafting space. So, I used a piece of that postcard for my card. 😀

The rubber stamp is from Skapa Hobby (designed by me), and in English it means “Have a nice summer”. I know the summer is almost over, but I thought it suited the strawberries… I added small rhinestones to the little flower on the stamp image.

Notebook for anti-shop lists?

Yesterday I made a notebook of the cover of one of my paperback books. I thought it would be SO suitable for a notebook for shopping lists. 😉

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC13

I’m participating in a CAS-ual Fridays challenge for the first time ever. 😀
This week’s challenge was to create a 4″x9″ card (and keep it clean and simple). I’ve never made a 4×9 card before, and felt a tiny bit uncomfortable with the format.

The card is for a friend who moved recently – she loves fishes and the color pink (the card is more pink than it seems in the photo). The sentiment means something like “Swim carefully in the new waters”. Although the Swedish meaning of “swim carefully” is an expression used as “take it easy”. So it’s kind of a play with words.

Bookmarks

I’ve thought about making bookmarks for quite a while. Today I finally made a couple of them. Very simple – glueing pieces of a BoBunny paper onto cardstock, adding a stamped sentiment, punching a hole and adding a ribbon. I don’t like bookmarks to be embellished – I like them to be flat so the book can be completely closed and the pages don’t get damaged.

The stamp on this one is made by Ingrid Andersén, and says (in Swedish) “We become neither better nor worse when we get older, just more like ourselves.”

This stamp from Inkywings says “Dream Hope Cry Laugh Love Enjoy Live!”
